Beware of politicians being nice to us!

First posted to my Blog in the lead up to the 2015 General Election. About 300 words of pure political nostalgia. Repeated here in case you’re tempted to think about voting for a right wing party again.

This year politicians of all parties are going to go all out for our love. Yes the European and local council elections matter, but the major parties are thinking of our vote for 7th May 2015, when the general election is held.

The rest of the cuts, the 60% still to come? George Osborne didn’t even mention them in the budget. He didn’t even turn into Mr Ranty when it came to people on benefits. Why? Because he wants us to think he might be an OK guy after all. He wants us to forget all about the nasty cuts and give him credit for turning a thriving economy into a swamp of fear, phoney jobs and distorted statistics.

David Cameron has even claimed to be doing God’s work to impress on us what a really nice guy he is after all. Perhaps we got him wrong and should give them another five years? Oh No! Don’t fall for the cuddly Tory trick again. It would be like inviting a great white shark to look after your kids for the day.

Give the Tories another five years and there will be no welfare state, no NHS, no hope! The working class will be back as they were pre 1945. Working until they drop and with any healthcare and help when sick or unemployed totally reliant on charities. The Tories have no shame! The food bank figures won’t make them repent of their extremist ways. They’re driven by a mindless ideology that can’t be reasoned with. The only cure is to keep them out of office.
